Google’s Street View privacy debacle (or close call)

Google is on amazingly thin ice with European privacy regulators. After they collected enormous amounts of individuals’ internet traffic, along with pictures of their homes, for Google Street View — European regulators heads are about to explode. Google violated so many data privacy laws, and without any forewarning, consultation, or apologies. Will they be able to wiggle out of this with spin + promises not to be evil?
