The “straw that stirs the drink” line caused controversy when Reggie Jackson allegedly used it with regard the roles that he and Thurman Munson filled on the New York Yankees during the 1970s. What can that controversy teach us regarding a reformulation of the roles that lawyers play in society and in their relationships to clients and to the public?
